Health Tests

Our dogs are DNA tested at the Dr van Haeringen Instituut in Wageningen. Not only on PRA/PRCD (eyes test), but also on their fur (Improper Coat), DM (degenerative myelopathy) and on their ancestry. Hip and elbow dysplasia is tested at the OVA (orthopedic foundation for animals {America)) or at the BVA (British Veterinary Association), and von Willibrand Disease Type I to the Genomia genetic laboratory (Czech Republic). Patella from 2015, at deWagenerenk/Wageningen, the kneecap or patella is normally in a cartilage slot on the lower part of the thigh. At patellaluxation shoot this from its place (inwards or outwards). Also on EIC since 2016. All test results are more than good and callable. By the DNA test on origin we can always show that the parents of your puppies are the actually parents.  Of course this says much more than a pedigree certificate on paper. The Board of Directors has adopted a proposal which will include all pedigree dogs should be tested DNA from 1 July 2014.
